This property needed some inspiration to bring it to its full potential. We emphasized some suggested pathways and created more of the park-like seeting that delighted the homeowners.

Neglected planting bed
Lots of removal, plant division and additional plantings went into the restoration of this bed. We also removed the hideous plastic edging and recut a natural edge. (Our and most homeowner's preference.)
Before we started, the bed, while not out of control, needed some TLC to bring out its full beauty and personality.
Not quite the same angle, but you can see the improvment.
Many of the existing plants were no longer contributing to a unified and beautiful look for the front.
We removed the worn out plants to create a fresh canvas and added plants that complimented each other. The focal point is one of my favorite plants, a Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Aurea'.
Once again we see an overgrown bed that lacked appeal.
We cleaned out the beds, trimmed the shrubs that remained and added color and interest in the form of both shrubs and perennials.
